Brief Business Profile: Thomas Knutson wanted to follow in his families footsteps, a daunting prospect: his father, Robert Knutson (who died in 2007) owned K&K Advertising, one of the largest advertising firms in the USA. His Uncle owned Knutson Mortgage, which sold in 1997 as the 6th largest lending house in the USA. Since 1983 Tom has designed thousands of homes, he is a featured designer on The Cottage Home Network. But along with big dreams, Tom inherited from Bob an inclination to champion the cause of little guys, namely young Americans striving to own their first home. It's a tougher battle in the United States these days, and in these economic times, but Bob would be proud of his kid.
